Cultivation Support.

Even in a controlled home environment, fungi follow their own rules. Here is how to keep your block thriving and maximize your yield.

Finding the Right Spot

Keep your kit out of direct sunlight but in a room that receives ambient daylight. Kitchen counters are ideal because constant visibility ensures you remember to check the moisture levels daily.

Moisture Management

Mushrooms breathe oxygen. If the caps look dry, cracking, or yellowing, increase your misting frequency. If the stems are growing unusually long and thin, the kit requires more fresh air exchange in the room.

Multiple Flushes

After your first harvest, carefully remove any remaining stem bases. Let the block rest for one week, then submerge it in cold water for twelve hours to restart the fruiting cycle for a second yield.

Buyer Questions

How long does a kit last before I need to open it?

We recommend starting your kit within a week of receiving it for the best results. If you need to wait, store it in a cool, dark place or the refrigerator for up to a month.

Is it safe to grow mushrooms indoors?

Absolutely. Our kits are perfectly safe for indoor environments. They produce a small amount of spores, but harvesting before the caps flatten completely minimizes this.

What do I do with the block after it stops producing?

Once your block has given you multiple flushes and stops producing, you can break it up and mix it into your garden soil or compost bin. It makes excellent organic matter!
